Carpet Antonín Kybal
Code: 2011058AProduct detailed description
A woolen carpet from the fifties designed by Antonín Kybal, a textile artist and the founder of the Kybal's Textile School at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. Kybal had a great influence on his students and their work is often indistinguishable from his own, therefore this carpet could be created by some of them. Later, they became mass produced due to the popularity they gained during the twentieth century. The carpet has a geometric pattern composed of contrastingly coloured rectangular fields. Geometric patterns are typical for Kybal's work from the fifties. The carpet is in an excellent condition, without damage. After industrial cleaning.
