A wooden American bookcase from the forties. Bookcases that were called American in Czechoslovakia are characterized by a gradual reduction in the depth of the shelves upwards. The bookcase has a typical hinged door that can be slid horizontally under the shelves using metal handles on the side. The lowest space has a full wooden door, the upper ones are glazed. The contrast of the light wood used inside the library with the dark staining on the outside is also very effective. The library is in an excellent condition, without any wear and tear.
