A so-called American style bookcase manufactured by the Jerry company, owned by Václav Faigl, a Czech producer of American style office furniture that was in business from the beginning of the nineteenth century. Jerry offered sturdy oak pieces of furniture, writing desks and coffee tables, and bookcases. The shelves of this bookcase have glass fronted faces that can be pulled up and slided inside. The bookcase is in a very good condition considering its age. The brown stained wood has only minimal scratches on its surface.
