A wooden armchair designed by Jan Vaněk in the fifties.Vaněk was a designer and a furniture manufacturer, architect and co-founder of the company Spojené Uměleckoprůmyslové závody. He was also a member of several associations and engaged in educational and publishing activities. He worked with important architects of his era such as Jan Kotěra or Josef Gočár. Among many other projects, he contributed to the furnishings of the functionalist Villa Tugendhat in Brno. His furniture is characteristic by itrs clean lines and timeless design.
This armchair features disitinctive, teardrop-shaped frinl legs. The wooden parts have been completely renovated in our workshop. The straps and upholstery have been completely replaced in green fabric.
