A ceramic stand for a flowerpot from the workshop of ceramicist and sculptor Aleš Werner, who made it as part of a collection in the 1980s. Werner studied in the ceramics and porcelain studio of the Academy of Arts, Architecture & Design in Prague as a student of Otto Eckert. He designs and produces functional ceramics and often creates artworks for architecture. This stand is made of white glazed ceramic, and it has a removeable galvanized aluminium insert with a brass rim. It has not been refurbished, but it is in excellent condition with no damage. The piece has been signed by the artist with a stamp at the top.
