A ceramic statuette of a swan made in the fifties or sixties in the company Keramo Kostelec, which was established in the Czech town Kostelec nad Černými Lesy and continues the ceramic tradition in the region, which is a rich deposit of ceramic clay. The Keramo Kostelec company was established in 1948 by merging several local workshops, the most important of which was probably the workshop of Ferdinand Vondráček. The statuette is made of red clay and glazed with black glaze, the tips of the wings and the beak remain exposed. The statuette is in an excellent original condition.
