Cone Chair designed by Danish architect Verner Panton in 1958. Panton originally created the Cone Chair as a part of his complete redesign of the interior of the restaurant Kom Igen, which included new furniture, textiles, lighting, and other furnishings. The chair gets its name from its simple, conical shape with graceful curves. The apex of the inverted cone sits on a swivelling stainless-steel base, and the semi-circular upholstered shell of the chair extends upward to form the back and armrests, creating a very comfortable armchair.
