A folding dining table designed in the forties by the Czech designer Jindřich Halabala, The table was manufactured in the firm UP závody in Brno, where he held the position of chief architect and head of the studio from the year of 1930. Halabala was originally a carpenter and later studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague in the studio of the Czech architect Pavel Janák, where his work probably acquired a functionalist purity of form. This table was manufactured in 1959 in the enterprise UP závody Rousínov, it is made of solid wood that was veneered with distinctive veneer and lacquered. The table is left in its original condition, the lacquer of the table top has some wear and tear.
