A fiberglass Modernica chair that was designed in 1948 as a part of the MOMA competition. It is an American equivalent of Miroslav Navrátil's classic tram chair from the same period. Modernica, a California based company, has been revitalising the production of fiberglass furniture since the nineties. The chair has a traditionally shaped fiberglass seat in the terracotta colour with a fine structure visible at close range. The base of the chair is made of wire-reinforced solid wood. The chair is in an excellent original condition.
