Architect Jiří Jiroutek can be accounted for the significance of Interier Praha company. His works are typified by a simple form with the focus on the materials' expression and looks. His design of U-450 series became an iconic product of this company, a design he himself built upon several times after. Jiroutek studied high school in Chrudim and later graduated in interior design at Prague's Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design. At Interier Praha he worked since 1951, during 1958 to 1968 he lead team of forms development. As a public person, Jiroutek always shows distinctive respect towards his craft. He also worked for Swedish furniture giant IKEA. He currently lives in Prague.

Original vintage sideboard with two doors and the side drawers in pink, black and gray combination. Type U-460, manufactured in the 1960s by Interiér Praha, designed by Jiří Jiroutek. Wooden construction, drawers are made of plastic, the coloured front part of the drawers is made of formica.
