An iconic wooden chair Tatra, or No 124, made by the Czechoslovakian (initially Austro-Hungarian) firm Thonet. Thonet based in a small eastern Czech town in the middle of the beech woods became known for the technology of bentwood and every single piece of this chair is made with it. This chair model appeared in the catalog of the company from 1904 and stayed there, although variously altered, for decades. The chair has an optional intarsia pattern on the backrest, visible only in side view as the laquered surface reflects differently on it. The chair has been completely restored, in a perfect condition as visible in the pictures.
