A wooden chair with armrests designed in the fifties by the Viennese architect Oswald Haerdtl for the Czech company TON. Haerdtl's chair with a hole in the backrest surpassed in its popularity the classic thonet chair No.14 and became the essential equipment of the most famous cafes and period interiors. The chair is made of beech bent plywood, typical for the TON company. The backrest and armrest is made of one piece of plywood, the legs of beech solid wood. The chair is in excellent original condition, without visible damage.
