Tubular cantilever chair produced by Kovona in the 1960s. This type of S43 model cantilever chair was originally designed by Mart Stam in the 1930s, and it even became a part of the furnishings of one of the residences in the legendary Weissenhof Estate. His design inspired the Czechoslovak company Kovona to start manufacturing a copy of the chair in the 1950s. This chair has a seat and back made from beech plywood, and the frame is made from bent chrome tubing, which was seen as the material of the future during the boom of modern design. This copy of the S43 cantilever chair made by Kovona has not been refurbished, and the chrome is slightly rusted in several places, as can be seen in the photos.
