A floor lamp ÚLUV 4159-2 made in the 1960s by ÚLUV (the Centre for Folk Art Production). After the war, ÚLUV became a safety net for Czechoslovak craftspeople. Thanks to ÚLUV, artists in the fields of textiles, furniture, ceramics, clothing and home accessories found outlets in workshops across the country. The company also expanded the Krásná jizba shops throughout Czechoslovakia, which became a centre of modern design for many years.
This lamp stands on a wooden tripod with a wooden ring in the centre that holds the socket for the bulb. The lamp is fitted with an oval shade made from milk glass, which creates a pleasantly diffuse light. The lamp has not been refurbished but is in excellent condition with minimal signs of use. 250 V / 100 W
