Teak coffee table designed by Louis van Teeffelen in the 1950s. The Dutch designer was known mostly for the furniture he created for the Walraven & Bevers company (later shortened to Wébé). Van Teeffelen often combined wood with other materials both functionally and artistically, and he embedded this particular model with a glass paste mosaic designed by Jaap Ravelli in the glassworks in Leerdam. The table is listed in the original Wébé catalogue as coffee table #15. The table has been completely refurbished, including a new rattan weave for the lower shelf, and it is currently in perfect condition.
