A flat woolen carpet from the fifties that bears the handwriting of Antonín Kybal, a textile artist and the founder of the Kybal's Textile School at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. Kybal had a great influence on his students and their work is often indistinguishable from his own, therefore this carpet could also be created by some of them. The carpet has a simple geometric pattern in muted earthy green tones, the fine pattern composed of fibers of several colours forms larger seemingly monochrome fields. Geometric patterns are typical for Kybal's work from the fifties. The carpet is in a very good condition.
