Brussels Design Market
Brussels is a beautiful city, and Belgium's awareness of Czechoslovak design of the second half of the twentieth century is barely existent - despite the Czechoslovak success at Expo 58 in 1958. Hence we thought that it wouldn't be bad to go and show "them Belgians" what did Expo mean for Czechoslovak design - and illustrate through selected design items how did it evolve.
The Brussels Design Market's showcasing conditions were a little bit wild: the hall that we shared together with another circa 50 exhibitors had no doors nor windows, and the weather conditions outside were not exactly beach-like. But maybe because of that, a very decent amount of visitors came to look at our items.
It was a great experience, thank you!
