Interior design - Residence in Prague
It rarely happens that you stumble upon such an open-minded client who lets you create freely with only one request: stylish interior with elements from the second half of 20th century.
This sensibly renovated private residence in Prague was a great starting point as well as daring challenge.
It was clear to us from the very beginning which direction are we taking with the design and the mood.
"I wanted to touch Bauhaus only lightly - the main role was 1960s and 1970s design. That kind of Glamour that you can see in my favourite Madman show," explains the interior designer, Andrea Beranová.
We wanted to pick the best out of Czechoslovak design and combine it with interesting decor and furniture from foreign countries.
One of the main goals was to let quality materials really stand out - materials such as walnut veneer, natural stone or carpets from natural grasses. We wanted to keep the airiness of the space and keep the individual pieces breathing as they complement each other and create a cozy space allowing its inhabitants to rest peacefully.
