Ceramic set by Kera Vitral
Code: 2504006Product detailed description
A brown ceramic set Kera Vitral Czechoslovakia. Kera-vitral was a revolutionary type of ceramic material developed at the Ceramic Works in Znojmo in 1967. The material contained a high percentage of kaolin, giving it a porcelain-like appearance. However, thanks to the addition of quartz and resins, it was exceptionally hard and strong. Due to its durability and affordability, it became a popular product in Czechoslovak households. It was also popular in restaurants and hotels – Kera-vitral tableware was used, for example, in the Ještěd mountain hotel.
The set consists of twenty pieces – a teapot with a lid, six cups, five small plates, six larger plates, a milk jug, and a sugar bowl without a lid.
The tableware is in excellent original condition, only one cup and one plate have slightly bumped rim.
