Chandelier Sputnik Kamenický Šenov
Code: 2410002Product detailed description
This spectacular hanging chandelier was designed in the 1970s by Jaroslav Bejvl and was manufactured in the Kamenický Šenov glassworks, one of the oldest glassworks in the Czech Republic. Kamenický Šenov has a rich history of glass production since the 17th century and in the 19th century the first glassworks was built here, which led to a boom in chandelier production. To this day the glassworks specialises in the production of luxury glass and chandeliers.
The chandelier consists of a robust golden brass framework. From its spherical base grow forty thin gold bars, each topped with a flared bulb socket.
The chandelier has been fully restored and fitted with new wiring and forty dimmable LED bulbs made of milk glass with an E27 fitting and of warm white light, which create a pleasant, diffused glow. Thanks to the dimmability, the intensity of the light can be altered. The length of the hanging rod can be adjusted upon agreement.
