Chandelier UFO Napako 1108
Code: 2502014Product detailed description
This functionalist chandelier Type 1108, also known as the 'UFO', was designed by Josef Hůrka and produced by the Napako national enterprise in the 1950s. Founded in 1919 by an association of small private companies in Prague, Napako's name is derived from the first syllables of the words 'toolmakers', 'tinsmiths' and 'metalsmiths' (in Czech). Since the 1940s, the company has been associated with Josef Hůrka, who designed highly successful lamps for the company for decades.
This chandelier features a chrome-plated steel shade filled with milk glass that diffuses light from four radially placed E27 bulbs placed above. The chandelier is fully functional and in very good original condition. In places, the chrome plating is lightly scuffed or scratched.
