Glass Cup
Code: 2508000Product detailed description
This amber glass cup was designed in the 1970s by the Czechoslovak designer Adolf Matura as part of the Praha collection and produced by the Rosice glassworks. Matura was a glass artist and designer who had a significant influence on the field of pressed glass. He participated in the development of metal molds using a new direct casting technique, which accelerated and reduced the cost of their production. He collaborated with the Moser, Borské sklo, Sklo Union Teplice, and Kavalier glassworks. His own designs were recognized at Expo 58 in Brussels, at the Triennial of Applied Arts in Milan in 1957 and 1960, and at Expo 67 in Montreal.
This glass is made of thick amber-colored glass and is decorated with various small plastic motifs. The cup is in excellent original condition.
