Glass Table Lamp by OPP Jihlava

Table lamp produced in the 1960s by OPP Jihlava, designed by Štěpán Tabery, who was an employee of the company. The lamp was designed in the context of the 1970s style known as Space Age, which brought rounded futuristic lines to the aesthetics of applied art. The lamp is made of opaline glass with a bold red colour and a glossy finish. When lit, the shade creates an interesting gradient. The lamp has been partially renovated. The thin yellow band that rimms the base of the lamp was missing. We repainted the metal base itself with an identical, vibrant yellow.
The lamp is fully functional and in excellent condition. It lights up with one E27 bulb.
