Optotype - Eye Chart
Code: 2501034Product detailed description
A classic wooden eye chart manufactured in 1989 by the Czechoslovak company PIS SPOFA in the town of Kroměříž. The chart, with its progressively smaller letters, is also known as the Snellen chart, named after its inventor, Herman Snellen (a Dutch ophthalmologist), who devised it in the 1860s. The frame is made of solid beech wood, into which milky plexiglass panels with letters are set. The optotype can be used as decoration or interesting interior lighting. Inside the cabinet are 16 light bulbs with E27 sockets. Thanks to the row lighting mechanism, one strip after another can be lit using a switch.
The board is fully functional and in excellent original condition. There are traces of water droplets on the wood in places.
