This porcelain plate was made in the 1960s by the Czechoslovak porcelain manufacturer Cornelia Loučky. Founded in 1907, the company specialised in producing luxury, decorated dinner and cup sets. The company often took over tableware from other manufacturers and then modified it using its own techniques. Pastel cups with gilded or lustre-painted inner sides, for example, became iconic.
This asymmetrically oval plate has a decorative motif of small gold waves along its edge. The plate is in excellent original condition, with a slight patina on the bottom edge.
