Product detailed description

Wooden armchair with leather upholstery, designed in the 1980s by Zbyněk Hřivnáč. Architect and interior designer Zbyněk Hřivnáč was a trained carpenter, and in the 1950s he studied interior and industrial design. He collaborated on the design of several important interiors, for example Hotel International in Prague, Hotel Praha, Czech Airlines, and the Czechoslovak embassies in London and Washington DC. One of his last complex projects was the interior of the administrative building of the Waterworks, now the Rosmarin Business Center in Prague 7. He designed this armchair for the Waterworks building in 1984. The building itself is the work of architect Karel Filsak, with whom Hřivnáč often collaborated.
The armchair has a solid oak frame with a seat and backrest upholstered in brown leather. The high back with vertical ribs completes the robust look of the armchair. The wooden parts have undergone a complete renovation in our workshop, and the original leather upholstery has been cleaned.
