Red Pendant
Code: 2509002Product detailed description
This glass pendant was made in the 1970s by Osvětlovací sklo Valašské Meziříčí. This glassworks was formerly the main production site of S. Reich & Co., the largest manufacturer of lighting glass in the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
The lampshade is made of two-layer opal glass: milky pink on the inside and deep red on the outside. This gives the pendant a pleasant, warm and subdued light. With its rounded, mushroom-like shape and rich colour, it is a prime example of the Brussels style. It hangs from a chrome-plated metal rod with a dark grey finish and is illuminated by one E27 bulb.
The pendant is fully functional and in very good original condition; however, the chrome rod is scratched in places and has some patina.
