A charming pair of salt and pepper pots designed by the Czech sculptor and ceramist Jindra Viková and produced by Royal Dux Bohemia in Duchcov. Viková studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague in the ceramics atelier of Prof. Otto Eckert. In 1975, together with sculptor Petr Oriešek, she designed a mosaic for the Old Town Hall in Prague. She mainly focuses on ceramic and porcelain art, digital collage and assemblage, and conceptual art. Her works are part of many Czech and European museums and collections. The figurines are made of painted ceramics, the spices are to be poured from holes in their heads and refilled from below. They are placed in a frame and can be hung on the wall. The set is in excellent original condition.
